John Ferguson - A little about me....
I’m John Ferguson, a portrait and branding photographer for people who need to be taken seriously, but don’t want to look like they’ve borrowed a suit and a smile for the afternoon.
I’m based in Ipswich and work nationally, often in places that matter to the people I photograph. Offices, workshops, streets, kitchens, anywhere real life actually happens. My work leans toward environmental, editorial-style portraits, the kind that carry credibility, character, and a sense that there’s a brain behind the eyes.
I don’t chase trends. Trends expire. Stories don’t. My job is to make photographs that still make sense long after the website refresh, the rebrand, and the latest social media panic have come and gone.
If you want fast, shiny, and forgettable, I’m not your man.
If you want images that do some of the heavy lifting for your reputation, we’ll get on just fine.
It's about collaboration; the more you put into your sessions, the better the final images will be.
